Examining my writing style
Disclaimer: To understand the Lord's spiritual truth, you must be born from above by his Holy Spirit. Be sure you've submitted yourself to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive this gift from the Lord, lest you add knowledge with no power and are held eternally accountable.
So, I just lost my whole post I wrote, because I was just focused on writing and didn't save, and when I saved it logged me out and erased it all :( Technology can be troublesome, but praise God a new day! Worked my second job all day today. Came in early for a meeting, and left in the evening. Was very busy, which made the time go by quick.
I will be adjusting the way I write posts and various other things. I'll be removing the outline-type blocks of writing I usually do, just to focus on getting my words, and more important, God's word out there for edification. This will benefit me greatly, as I can just focus on the words, and telling you what's on my heart, rather than worrying about blocks, titles, and super-organization. I want to choose my words wisely, and be straight-forward with how I relay information, this will be good practice.
To the young single men following the Lord, beware of chameleon women. Women of the world will adjust the personalities to fit men they want attention from. You'll notice a big difference between how they act around you, and how they act around others. Be discerning, test the fruit, be aware of your own flesh, and keep yourself in the love of God. Truth is, godly women are hard to find, and there's a very good chance you'll never meet one. However, if the Lord puts you in a place to meet one, she won't change who she is to fit your personality. She has her own personal walk with the Lord she has to maintain in the fear of God, why would she do that? She'll test you with the word of God as much as you test her. Her spirit will be shown by her works, so will yours. Her service to God will get your attention, and your service to God will get hers. So then, how in the world will you be able to identify a godly woman unless you're walking in all sound doctrine? There's so few, and if you can't identify the few God may put in your path, then you'll never find one.
“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” (Proverbs 31:10, KJV)
P.S. how can a man identify a precious ruby, if he has no clue what the characteristics of a precious ruby are?
Listened to an audio teaching by a saint in the Lord about exercise. He made some really good points, and I want to add what I've learned as a young man, who used to be involved in the world of exercise, working out, and sports. If you seek the kingdom of God with all that you are, God will provide you with opportunities to exercise his way: walking and working. Here's some good exercise, lose your life, move into a van, crawl in and out of it for years. That weight will come right off! I have two jobs the Lord has blessed me with that keep me moving, bending, crawling, standing, walking, my body gets plenty of movement. I eat what I need to sustain myself. I'm a skinny man, but the muscles I do have (not much) goes specifically to endurance in my work for the Lord. God will fine tune your body to bear him much fruit, just keep seeking the kingdom. Where's your focus at? Is it on keeping yourself spotless from the world, or "I gotta keep my body looking good?" The saint made a good point, the Spirit gives us the peace, the joy, the sustaining we need, not the flesh. We take care of our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit, but we don't focus on the flesh as our barometer for feeling good in the Lord. The Lord gives me what I need to bear him much fruit and keep me moving.
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” (Romans 8:5, KJV)
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33, KJV)
Tomorrow, I want to fine tune my Gospel page, and put up a testimony page if time allows.
I'm in McDonald's drinking some hot tea (paying my rent for Wi-Fi use and staying warm), and it's not bad. I can see why people drink it instead of coffee, which has a stronger taste. What you really should try is the Pumpkin Latte they got going on at the moment. おいしい(delicious)! A great treat. To close, here are some scriptures showing some of the fruit that the Holy Spirit will bring forth in your life if you're born of Christ's Spirit.
You hate false ways.
“And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.” (John 2:15-16, KJV)
You love the brethren with the truth.
“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 15:12, KJV)
You put the Father's will above your own.
“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42, KJV)
You're not of the world, and are being sanctified out of it.
“They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:16-17, KJV)
Let God be true, and every man a liar. Love to those in the truth.
